We have a great team!  Please be aware that we hire from our membership only for the Front Desk position.  Our members keep the pool open and there are always more applicants than  front desk positions open. Applications are opened up in the Fall of each year after the pool closes and are due typically 6 months prior to the next season’s start.

Returning Staff

All Returning Staff must complete an Employment Application Form so that we can be sure all contact information is updated and correct.  Also there will be no paper checks for employees.  We will use Direct Deposit and the staff member must provide valid banking information for Direct Deposit in order to be paid.

Front Desk

This position requires a minimum age of 14 years old to apply.  Please note that for our Front Desk position priority is given to members of the pool who are interested in becoming a lifeguard once they turn 15.  There is a significant shortage of Lifeguards in our community, so we have to place emphasis on those willing to be trained once they are of age.

Maintenance Workers

We need a few great employees to help us care for the grounds, the pool deck, and the pool amenities (volleyball area, snack bar, bathrooms).  If you are 16+ and willing to become a Certified Pool Operator we are hiring extra help to care for the pool itself.


If you have any questions about certification please direct them to the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center (505) 662-8170.  You can also find options through the Red Cross.  Canyon Vista Pool does not certify lifeguards, we just hire them.  We do hire contingent on certification.  This means applicants can apply, interview, and be hired but must be certified before they can work.
